PoliticalMojo is a US-based web service provided by people who are concerned for politics and democracy. Our constitution was written for an educated population: democracy is a hard-won freedom. Therefore we have a responsibility to vote, and a duty to be informed when we do so.
PoliticalMojo looks at trends and issues among the candidates for the 2012 US Presidential Election. We let news services cover and analyze the speeches and faux pas of the candidates as they unfold. We are scanning the world of blogs, groups and social networks for “User-Generated Content” to track and analyze key trends about candidates.
How do we do this? We take a daily sample of blog and group postings and parse the language used to track whether postings use positive-negative and male-female language. We track this and chart it dynamically in our site. Our goal is to provide insight beyond quantitative data and provide a consistent trend over time about how candidates are perceived by the wider population.
To do this, we use analytic software and technology from ProWebsurfer a California-based technology company. Pioneer Solutions operate this service.
We support our technology and hosting costs through donations. Enjoy !
